Chapter 1: The Beginning of My Journey
I want to share the path I’ve taken towards becoming the best version of myself. Initially, I imagined crafting delightful articles chronicling my daily and weekly progress, along with the valuable life lessons learned. I envisioned a future where my life would improve as I documented my courageous efforts to evolve into the person I aspire to be.
However, much like my other ambitious plans, reality has often fallen short of my expectations. I didn’t anticipate the challenges of embodying that improved version of myself. The gap between my current state and my desired self was far wider than I had imagined. I found myself sitting on my bed, surrounded by chaos, uncertain of where to begin. Instead of taking the initiative as my highest self would, I often resorted to my usual pattern of giving up when faced with overwhelming tasks.
I am weary of surrendering, of conceding defeat when confronted with my own unrealistic expectations. This has been my pattern: burying dreams and rationalizing my shortcomings as justifiable reasons for inaction. Yet, that is not how my highest self would respond.
She would remind herself of her idealistic perspective and recognize that the additional challenges she hadn’t previously considered stem from gaining a deeper understanding of how to achieve her goals. She would embrace this new knowledge, assuring herself that she is capable of tackling every single step necessary to realize her dream. She would trust that her soul wouldn’t be beckoning her towards a dream that was not rightfully hers, and she would remain aligned with her soul's call. With each action she took, she would own her power, quieting any self-doubt and confronting her fears.
Moreover, she would reflect on the steps she has already taken, acknowledging that despite feeling distant from her goals, she has made significant progress. She would not label this as Day 1; instead, she would celebrate every step that led her here, including the missteps and challenges she overcame.
She would not halt her progress simply because the starting point was unclear. Instead, she would formulate a plan, and if it didn’t yield the desired outcome, she would devise another. She would take actionable steps, and when faced with uncertainty, she would seek to learn. She would invest her effort wholeheartedly, even amidst uncertainty.
She would write that article and share it, taking pride in the simple act of beginning.
